Ceramic Bird Pin Cushion

One-of-a-kind Ceramic sewing pin cushion, bird-shaped, to hold your thimble, needles, and pins with a pompom felt back.

This sweet Bird is the perfect match for knitters, crochet lovers or embroiderers.

Bird’s tail is long enough to hold a thimble and he has a colorful removable pompom ball to stick needles located on its back. This way, you may take it off for washing it up or change it!
It stands 4 cm tall and it’s 4 cm wide and 7,5cm long (approx).
Due to its tiny size, it is ideal for carrying inside your sewing case, or for any other decorative use. It is great anywhere.
As each one is hand made no two will ever be exactly the same. The photos in the listing serve as a guideline. Each bird is different and unique in a very delicate naïve and primitive style, and this makes them special! Full of irregularities and celebrating the variations that are inherent to handmade items and I do hope you feel the same way too.

♥ Process
This cute bird is completely handmade by me from start to finish, starting from a bit of white clay. I hand molded little birds of clay, opened and emptied them one by one. Then added tinny hand-molded peeks.
Painted eyes, peeks and cheeks when dry. Then they were fired.
I covered them with a layer of crackled glossy and transparent glaze that was fixed with a second fire.
The last step of the process was adding a felt pompom in the bird’s back.

It was carefully dreamed, designed, assembled, packaged… And I hopefully well-loved.
